The personal data we collect, is processed and secured with due care, in compliance with the requirements set by privacy legislation.

Purposes of the data processing

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • to grant access to the website www.westerscheldetunnel.nl;
  • to use the functionalities on our website and the WST Verkeer App;
  • to get in touch if you requested this;
  • to perform communication activities that support our services (such as sending newsletters).

We will not process personal data for any other purposes, unless you have given us your prior permission or if we are compelled or permitted to do so under the law.

We do not store your data any longer than is necessary for achieving the purposes named in this Cookie Statement.

Confidentiality

We will not share the (personal) data you provide with other parties, unless this is required for n the enforcement of the agreement or in order to be compliant with a statutory obligation.

Newsletter

We offer a newsletter in which we inform interested parties about news that is related to our expertise. Furthermore, your email address will only be included in our list of subscribers with your express permission. Each newsletter will contain a link to unsubscribe.

The information thus obtained includes the address of your computer  (IP address) and the pages you visited. This information is transmitted to Google and subsequently stored on servers in the US. We signed a processor’s agreement with Google, in which we made arrangements about how we handle the collected data. Under this agreement, Google is not allowed to use the information that was obtained for other Google services. Google may, however, share information with third parties if Google is compelled to do so under the law, or to the extent that third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. This part is beyond our control. Additional information about data processing by Google Analytics is included in the privacy statement of Google and in the privacy policy of Google Analytics.

Removing cookies

Our cookies have an expiry date of one year, after you have accepted them. The cookies are removed automatically after one year. You can also choose to remove the cookies yourself before the date has expired. Check your browser manual for the details.

Third-party websites

This Privacy and Cookie Statement is not applicable to third-party websites that are connected to our website by links. It is recommended that you read the privacy statements of these websites before using them.

Access, correction and right to object

If you have provided us with personal data you can send a request to inspect, change or remove this data. You can submit this request by sending an email or contacting us by phone via +31 (0)900 – 235 8866.

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy and Cookie Statement. Changes will be published on our website. We recommend that you check this Statement regularly, to keep abreast of the changes.

Of course, we will also be a happy to help you if you have complaints about the processing of your personal data. Under the privacy legislation, you have the right to submit a complaint with the Dutch Date Protection Agency (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) about how we handle your personal data.
